Rheaume Engineering Inc., (“Rheaume”) recognizes the importance of privacy protection, and acts in compliance with all applicable provincial and federal Canadian privacy laws. Please review this document carefully. It contains important information regarding the terms of the collection, use and disclosure of personal information submitted through Rheaume’s website.

Use of Candidate Information

Information provided electronically by users of Rheaume’s website will be utilized by Rheaume , its affiliate companies and contracted agents and representatives for the purpose of recruitment, hiring, and human resources management for Rheaume only.

Rheaume will collect and use personal information for the purpose of recruiting and hiring suitable candidates for employment by Rheaume and its affiliates. Information provided will be stored electronically on one or more secured servers and may be used in the future by Rheaume to assess candidates’ suitability for one or more jobs in Canada. In this regard, Rheaume may contact you by email, telephone, or social media to:

• Verify your contact information
• Review and verify other information you have submitted
• Provide information and determine your interest in competitions where you may or may not have submitted a formal or specific application

Types of Information

Rheaume maintains personal information that you voluntarily submit and, in some cases, personal information provided by your references and others in the course of the evaluation and hiring process. To the extent appropriate and in accordance with applicable law, Rheaume representatives seeking to fill a position may contact your references, referrer, or other third parties named in your application or resume to seek additional data related to your qualifications, such as confirmation of attendance in educational programs.

Rheaume may collect and use additional information about you, such as pre-employment test scores and assessments administered by or on behalf of Rheaume, for the purpose of managing the candidate relationship.

Your file within Rheaume’s HR system is referred to as a candidate profile. Your candidate profile will be retained for such time as may be required to complete the recruitment process or alternatively, to facilitate future consideration for other positions which may come available and which you may be qualified for.

Disclosure Required by Law

In certain circumstances, and in accordance with applicable law, personal information contained within Rheaume’s HR system may be disclosed to law enforcement, regulatory or other government agencies, or to other third parties.

Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted by you and contained within the HR system is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Knowingly submitting inaccurate, false, or misleading information may make you ineligible for consideration for employment opportunities, and in some cases where we rely upon such information, may lead to termination of employment with Rheaume.

Rheaume takes all reasonable steps to ensure that information collected for the purpose of recruitment by its employees and representatives is correct.

Withdrawing from Participation

Participants in Rheaume’s HR system should contact Rheaume via email directed to careers@rheaumeengineering.com indicating whether they wish to withdraw from a particular job competition or alternatively, from participation in all job competitions. In these cases, Rheaume will require up to ten (10) days to process such changes to your candidate profile.

Liability

IN INDICATING THEIR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS OF USE, USERS WHO SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATION THROUGH RHEAUME’S WEBSITE ASSUME ALL RISK OF SUCH USE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RISKS OF LOSS RESULTING FROM SUCH USAGE. NEITHER RHEAUME NOR ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS OR REPRESENTATIVES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES WHETHER ARISING UNDER COMMON LAW, STATUTE, OR IN EQUITY, RELATING TO OR ARISING FROM INDIVIDUALS’ USE OF OR RELIANCE UPON RHEAUME’S WEBSITE.

CERTAIN LINKS IN THE WEBSITE LEAD TO RESOURCES MAINTAINED BY THIRD PARTIES OVER WHOM THE RHEAUME ENTITIES HAVE NO CONTROL. NO RHEAUME ENTITY MAKES ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE ACCURACY OR SECURITY OFTHOSE RESOURCES.
